This file contains the differences between RMC200 firmware versions.
-
Added support for the new RMC200 Lite series of controllers, including the CPU20L and the
B5L and B7L base modules. The CPU20L module supports up to 18 control axes, and up to 48
total axes including output-only, outer-loop and virtual axes and reference inputs.
[Requires RMCTools 4.17.0 or newer]
-
Updated the CPU40 to support up to 50 control axes, and up to 128 total axes including
output-only, outer-loop and virtual axes and reference inputs. The CPU40 was previously
limited to 32 axes of any type.
[Requires RMCTools 4.17.0 or newer]
-
Updated the CPU40 to support up to 64 plot templates (up from 32) with each plot having
up to 128 data items (up from 32). The total number of data items allowed across all plot
templates is limited to 1024. The CPU20L is limited to 48 plot templates with up to 48
data items each, up to a total data item limit of 512 across all plots.
[Requires RMCTools 4.17.0 or newer]
-
Made several improvements to monitoring control loop utilization:
[Requires RMCTools 4.17.0 or newer]
-
Added a set of Loop Time Used registers (in microseconds) that can be plotted and
used to evaluate control loop utilization more easily.
-
Improved how the Event Log reports when the control loop time is exceeded. Small
momentary overruns are logged as a warning that can be filtered. Larger overruns
are logged as an error.
-
Added support for storing the new High Control Loop Utilization setting.
See RMCTools documentation for more information on this setting.
[Requires RMCTools 4.17.0 or newer]
-
Added support for Valve Linearization using a curve.
[Requires RMCTools 4.17.0 or newer]
-
Increased the number of Sync Groups from 11 to 32 and Halt Groups from 16 to 32.
-
Increased the number of rows supported in each user-configurable Address Map from 32 to
128. This includes the DF1, FINS, Modbus, and PROFINET address maps.
[Requires RMCTools 4.17.0 or newer]
-
Increased the size of the command area in the fixed portion of the DF1 and PROFINET Address
Maps to support up to 128 axes on the CPU40 and 48 axes on the CPU20L. This is up from 32
axes.
-
Increased the size of the command area in the fixed portion of the Modbus and FINS Address
Maps to support up to 102 axes on the CPU40 and 48 axes on the CPU20L. This is up from 32
axes.
-
Several performance optimizations were made in order to support more axes and plots.
-
Minor changes to comply with EtherNet/IP conformance test version CT17.
-
Minor changes to comply with PROFINET test specification V2.41.0.
-
Updated the content of Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) frames generated by the
controller when in EtherNet/IP mode. Some new information is included as per EtherNet/IP
recommendations, and the frames are now sent using the device MAC address instead of
the port MAC address.
Initial release for the R200-CPU40 controller.
